This is an editorial from the [unknown] edition of the Flowenton Gazette. Instead, of
touching it up to fit his "demeanor," G. Nih Ton decided to show what he could
still accomplished when "powdered down."
something to die for

Warning: I have mainstreamed this for the sanctity of wholesome minds.
In this crazy, messed world there are a few things worth dying for. Everyone needs a
cause nowadays. I'm not referring to some charitable organization, because they're not
serving any good but their own. The only reason things like that exist is so that that
some rich, conscience-stricken individual can feel good about himself. Chances are are
that if there are 20 or more 'members' behind it all in every city's plagues, then chances
are is that it's only a time consuming write off. The causes that I'm talking about have
real organizations to back them up, but I'm only trying to get at what's worth fighting
for.. Here goes a list. I'm not saying get involved. I'm saying take a look at what you
can do to help it proceed.
Medicinal Marijuana: The government hunts Kevorkian, so he doesn't kill those in pain.
Then, they arrest people for not dying, but trying to ease the pain.
The Irish Republican Army: I agree/disagree with all they do, but remember this: the
minutemen are responsible for what we have today.
Sex abuse: Not pro, but con. A child is suffering. A woman is crying. A man is
laughing.
Education: Your kids are getting crap from the public school system. Get something
better or do it yourself. Then again, let 'em rot, you got brainwashed by the same system.
Animal rights: No, I'm just joking. Don't go killing for the hell of it, but if it
tastes good, go for it!
Anti-causes: if a celebrity is pledging his or her life for it, then it's a joke. Their
only reason is to gain more appeal. Aside from that, they don't give a damn about the
cause they claim to support Either that or, it's the "in" thing to be doing this
year.
Freedom of speech: If we really had it, do you think you'd be reading such a subdued
article by me.
There's more causes than you can shake a stick at, but those are the ones I felt like
looking at. Go. Do something. Make yourself proud. |
