You never thought you'd get this old.
Make it this far.
Experience so many things.
When you look in the mirror
You see wrinkles, harsh definitive lines
And in reality you arent even that old.
You used to think you would never grow old
That your little body would stay that way
Your skin stay smooth, untouched.
You never thought you would go through the things you did
Never dreamed you would die more than once
Never felt you would ever run out of time, or mind
You always believed you would be here forever
A statuette unchanging unhurt
Could never imagine hurting someone.. just because.
And yet you did, and you have,
and sadly enough
It didnt bother you.
You are still young yet your body has grown old.
You want to protect yet youve lost your shield.
You want to forgive but can never forget.
You want to still love yet no one is left.
You wish you had hope but youve given it all up.
You still cant believe
You made it this far
Grown this old
This bitter
This cold
This lost.
But you have.

No wonder you dont feel proud.
